Our Story

Rhe Amore started back in 2018, when Rheanna (right) was searching for a leather bag for her mum Tracey (left) and struggled to find one that was colourful, made in the UK and not mass produced. 

Rheanna decided to take on the challenge and using her knowledge of sewing, patterns cutting, supply chain & sourcing she created a beautiful blue bag to give to her mum. Loving the process along the way and lots of subsequent custom orders from friends and family, she did her first in person market and the rest was history. 

All Rhe Amore products are designed & handcrafted from our studio on the Isle of Wight.

All of our leather is a bi-product of the meat industry & we work directly with tanneries in Italy, and in some cases we use the help of a British supplier to source our hair on hide leathers or special one off leathers - to save them from landfill. 

We take pride in making our products from scratch, which is why at busy gifting periods the lead time increases, as we make the majority of our products to order so we don't have lots of stock sitting around. We also try to utilise each leather hide as best as possible by making smaller items such as our leather keyrings & earrings, from the smaller sections - as to limit the wastage. 

All of our shipping materials are recyclable & biodegradable (yes even the postage labels, they are coated with Vitamin C) - we reuse as much as we can from our deliveries, which is why you may see a slight difference in some of the packaging materials we use to help protect larger items in their postal boxes.
