Our story
back to 2016
I had just graduated with a fashion design degree from university and moved back to the Island. I began making cotton tote bags from leftover fabrics. Slowly over the next year I worked as a studio assistant & product developer and learnt what actually goes into running a business and the enjoyment I found making products & brining them to market.
Around 18 months later in the autumn of 2018, my mum had mentioned she was looking to get a new bag but couldn’t find it in the colour she liked, so I suggested that I could make one for her as a Christmas present.
We travelled to London and found the perfect blue leather to use, after a few weeks of developing the pattern and practice sewing I had made her a new bag and she loved it.
I loved the process of working with such a beautiful material and throughly enjoyed getting back into sewing again. Slowly over the next few months I made pieces for friends and family and finally at the end of 2018 I started selling on Etsy, this is when the dream of one day owning my own business and becoming self employed really took off. Fast forward to November 2022 and I left my full time job to work on my business full time, something I am so incredibly proud of.
Our Design Approach
Style to fall in love with
We take pride in making our products from scratch and we make the majority of our products to order, so we don't have lots of stock sitting around. We have developed relationships directly with some of the best tanneries across Europe & UK, to source the best quality full & top grain leathers. Using a minimalistic design approach we ensure our products are functional but also stylish. We want you fall in love with them.
Inspired by our coastlines
minimalist. colourful. timeless
We might be slightly bias, but we are surrounded by some of the most stunning coastlines in the UK. From sparkly turquoise blue seas to deep green woodlands, every inch of our little island is covered in colour inspiration. From the fields of yellow rapeseed oil in the summer, to the bright red poppies growing on the cliff overlooking the bay , or the wildflowers overflowing in garden. We want to take the joy and happiness these colours give us to help inspire the colours we include in our collection, in the hope that you feel them too.
